Smile Island Heritage Smile Island provides a unique dental home for families by conveniently offering pediatric specialty services, general teen and adult services, and orthodontics under one roof. It is a family-owned practice built on the philosophy of treating every patient with the utmost respect and providing the care we would give to our own family. The owners of Smile Island, Dr. Kelvin Tse, a general dentist, and Dr. Cindy Weideman, a board-certified pediatric specialist, are a husband-and-wife team who each have over 30 years of dental experience.Both of the doctors come from dental families. Their fathers began practicing dentistry in California in the late 1960’s. Dr. Kenneth Tse was one of the first dentists to set up a practice in East Los Angeles and only the second dentist to open a practice in Chinatown. He had a passion for orthodontics and treating senior citizens. Nebraska native, Dr. Michael Weideman, was the first certified pediatric dentist to establish a practice in Sacramento. He opened his first office in Carmichael, treating children of all ages and passionately caring for children and adults with special health care needs.  |
